Privacy Policy

Fireaway Pizza Croydon operates this website. This page sets out what personal data we collect through it, why we use it, how long we keep it, and how you can reach us about it. It covers the contact form and the correspondence that follows from it.

The shop address and phone number in this policy are the same ones printed on our menu and on the contact page. Nothing on this page changes how an order placed by phone or in person at the shop is handled.

What we collect

Information we collect

We only hold what you choose to give us, plus the small amount of technical information a browser sends when it loads any web page.

Contact form details

Your name, the contact details you type in (an email address or a phone number), and the content of your message. If you attach anything to the message, that is included too.

Phone and counter queries

If you ring the shop on +44 20 8686 1234 or speak to us at 142 High Street, we may keep a short note of the query and how it was resolved, so the next person who answers can help without starting again.

Technical page data

Our hosting provider records standard request information such as the page requested, the date and time, and a shortened form of the network address making the request. This is used to keep the site running and to look into faults or abuse.

What we do not collect here

We do not collect payment card details through this website. Card payments are taken by the payment provider you are passed to when you pay, and that provider handles the card data under its own terms.

Why we use it

We use what you send for the matter you contacted us about — answering a question, following up on feedback, or checking an order query. We do not sell it, and we do not use it to send you marketing.

Legal basis

We handle form submissions on the basis of your consent, given at the point you send the message. We also rely on our legitimate interest in replying to customer enquiries and running the shop day to day.

Where a specific activity needs a different lawful basis — for example, keeping records that we have to keep — we use that basis instead and only for the period it applies.

Sharing

We do not share your details with third parties for their own marketing. Where a supplier runs part of the website or handles our messages, that supplier processes the data on our behalf and only under our instructions.

We do not disclose information unless the law requires it.

Retention

How long a message stays with us depends on what it was about. The stages below describe when each record leaves the day-to-day system.

  1. While the query is open

Your message and our replies stay in the mailbox so whoever picks up the thread can see the whole exchange.

  2. For a reasonable follow-up period

Once the matter is settled, we may keep the message a while longer so a related question can be answered without you repeating yourself.

  3. Then deleted or anonymised

After that window, contact form messages are deleted or stripped of anything that identifies you.

  4. Order-related records kept longer

If your query relates to an order, the associated records may be kept for accounting and business purposes, separately from the message thread.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct anything that is wrong, or ask us to delete it. You can also object to a particular use, or ask us to restrict it while a question is being resolved.

To make a request, use the contact details on this page or on the contact page. Tell us the name, email address, or phone number you used when you wrote to us, and what you would like us to do. That is usually enough for us to find the record. We will respond within the time the applicable law allows.

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled a request, you can raise it with the UK information regulator. We would rather hear from you first, so we have the chance to put it right.

Contact the shop

What a request can cover

  • A copy of the message you sent through the contact form, and our replies to it.
  • Correction of a name, email address, or phone number that we recorded incorrectly.
  • Deletion of a settled query that no longer needs to be kept.
  • Restriction of processing while you and we work out a disputed detail.

Some records have to be kept for a set period — an order that was paid for, for example. If that applies, we will explain why when we reply.

Cookies

This website may use cookies for basic functionality, such as keeping the site working consistently between pages and remembering a preference you have set. The Cookie Policy sets out what is used and how to manage or clear it in your browser.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version is published on this page and applies from the moment it is posted. The date shown at the top of this page tells you which version you are reading.

If a change affects how we handle a message you have already sent, we will deal with that message under the version that was live when you sent it, unless the law requires otherwise.

Questions people ask us

Short answers to the points that come up most often about this page.

Do I need to give my details to browse the menu?

No. You can look through the menu and the delivery information on this site without sending us anything. Details are only collected when you decide to write to us through the contact form or contact the shop directly.

Does this policy cover an order I place by phone?

It covers the notes we keep about your query and the website itself. Records tied to a completed order may be kept for accounting and business purposes, as described in the retention section above.

How quickly will you answer a request about my data?

We aim to reply as soon as we can find the record, and within the time the applicable law allows. Writing to [email protected] usually gets the fastest answer, and it gives you a written trail.

Is my information used to send me offers?

No. What you send through the contact form is used to deal with the matter you wrote about. We do not sell it, and we do not pass it to other companies for their marketing.
